NSITEXE deploys Cadence digital design full flow to improve DFP IP

Allegedly, the Genus Synthesis Solution has played a significant role in the flow which enabled NSITEXE to enhance iterations from register-transfer level (RTL) to layout.
Cadence Design Systems, Inc., the electronic design automation softwarecompany recently announced that NSITEXE, Inc. has adopted the Cadencedigital design full flow to improve the delivery of its high-quality, high-efficiency data flow processor (DFP) IP for industrial and automotive applications.
By leveraging the unified Cadence digital full flow, beginning with the Genus^â„¢Synthesis Solution, NSITEXE has effectively decreased turnaround time by 75 percent. It also helped to reduce area by 3.5%, improve performance by 35%, and power by 8.5% in comparison with its former competitive solution.
Reportedly, the Cadence flow employed at NSITEXE comprised the Conformal^Â®Equivalence Checker, Joules^â„¢RTL Power Solution, GenusSynthesis Solution, Innovus^â„¢Implementation System, and Modus^â„¢DFT Software Solution. The strongly integrated flow has offered NSITEXE a common Cadence database and user interface (UI), eradicating the need for data transfer between communication exchanges among multiple engineers and tools.
According to sources, the Genus Synthesis Solution has played a significant role in the flow which enabled NSITEXE to enhance iterations from register-transfer level (RTL) to layout. Moreover, the shared engines between the Innovus Implementation System and Genus Synthesis Solution have helped NSITEXE to identify design bottlenecks and avoid unnecessary iterations.
Hideki Sugimoto, CTO, NSITEXE, reportedly stated that to enhance the delivery of high-quality, high-efficiency DFP IP, the company required a solution to attain its aggressive turnaround time goals. After an extensive assessment, the company decided to deploy the Cadence full flow because it has offered a strongly integrated design environment which created efficacies for the team and generated optimal PPA results, he further added.
Reportedly, the Cadence digital design full flow is a segment of the larger digital and signoff suite. It offers a unified full flow, providing better predictability and a faster means to design closure to the customers. It also supports Intelligent System Design^â„¢strategy designed by Cadence, improving SoC design superiority.
