OnePlus launched its new phone, OnePlus 8T with 5G support in the global market. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs 42,999 in India while the top-end 12GB+256GB costs Rs 45,999. The phone will be available on Amazon.in and OnePlus online store from 17th October.
The phone comes with a fluid 6.55-inch fluid AMOLED display, 91.1% screen-to-body ratio, and 120Hz refresh rate. It is supported by a battery of 4500 mAh that is supported by a 65W fast-charger in the box. The new phone sports a quad-camera setup with 16MP wide-angle camera, a 48MP Sony primary camera, and 2MP monochrome sensor. The Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage powers the phone’s performance.
OnePlus also launched OnePlus Buds Z along with OnePlus 8T at $49. The earbuds come with an in-ear design with interchangeable silicone tips. While weighing only 4.3 grams they have an IPX5 rating, 20 hours of battery life, and bass boost. With just 10 minutes of charging, the users can use the device for 3 hours. They are available in grey and black color variants.
OnePlus 8T operates on Android 11 out of the box along with their own Oxygen OS 11 on top. It is reported to be one of the first devices to operate on Android 11 directly. It comes with a customizable Always-on display, live wallpaper, Bitmoji, and group zen mode. The phone is expected to give a clean Android experience. The telephone company also collaborated with Snapchat to provide Bitmoji avatars. Users can also add these Bitmojis to the Always-On display.
The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. For a better gaming experience, it has a 285% larger vapor chamber. With a dual stereo speaker and Doly Atmos, it is anticipated to give an amazing sound experience.
