Philips unveils new enterprise imaging solution at the RSNA 2019

Royal Philips, a parent company of the Philips Group, reportedly launched its next-gen enterprise imaging solution. The introduction is backed by several years of investments in R&D and corresponding acquisitions, resulting in integration of products that provide a comprehensive platform designed to connect clinical abilities and enhance workflows on all step in the patient's journey.
The novel enterprise solution is being launched at the RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) Annual Meeting 2019.
General Manager, Enterprise Diagnostic Informatics at Philips, Calum Cunningham, reportedly stated that the new solution seamlessly encloses intelligence at every step of disease pathway and operational workflow, providing the base for advanced imaging today and the fully integrated precision-based diagnosis platform of tomorrow.
The new solution enables hospital administrators, clinicians and patients to fully utilize the power of information and convert it to actionable insights, which is a critical step towards the advancement of healthcare enterprise.
The company is highlighting its patient-oriented approach towards precise diagnosis and selection of treatment at RSNA 2019. It streamlines and enhances workflows throughout the enterprise imaging network, which also includes viewing and data interpretation, image acquisition, and diagnostic management workflows for patients using its clinical and operational capabilities, which are embedded with Artificial Intelligence and analytics.
Philips is also investing in interoperability programs and industry-wide standardization. It has become one of the main health technology companies to provide assessment and guidance using HIMSS Analytics DIAM (Digital Imaging Adoption Model). The Sequoia Projects CareQuality initiative has also been adopted by Philips.
The new solution supports imaging centers and hospitals as they look to connect, optimize performance, improve patient experience, staff experience, and health outcomes. It includes, operational insights to improve productivity, interoperability and image sharing to help shared decision making, clinical repository for storage, a unified offering that provides support throughout the patient's journey, and integrated AI applications across the imaging workflow.
