Teksbotics (Asia) Limited and UISEE have reportedly jointly built a driverless delivery vehicle which was recently unveiled and piloted in the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology located in Saudi Arabia.
The driverless delivery vehicles project intends to connect with local e-commerce in Saudi Arabia and offer convenient and affordable autonomous delivery services.
Local community residents can communicate with the delivery vehicle using text messages on mobile phones and the touch screen deployed on the vehicle’s body to execute the express delivery service.
The delivery vehicle is based on Teksbotics UNO specifically developed for the Middle East region and the UiBox smart city autonomous driving solution of UISEE. The vehicle can accurately detect objects and people during its autonomous drive on open roads and complete the entire process of delivery service, ensuring safe package delivery to their destinations.
Teksbotics is one of the largest providers of autonomous solution providers in Hong Kong and has been UISEE’s strategic collaborator for multiple driverless projects. The company intends to help customers automate patrolling, distribution, and transportation. The Hong Kong-based company has extensive experience in project operation, maintenance, and design of autonomous driving solutions in the self-driving vehicle sector.
The Autonomous Driving Smart City Service Innovation Laboratory was founded in consolidation with strategic collaborators in September 2021. Since its establishment, UISEE has cooperated with YTO Express, Teksbotics, SF Express, and ZTO Express to perform several innovative projects within the country as well as abroad.
UISEE and Teksbotics jointly entered the global autonomous on-demand delivery sector and have put on efforts to be global leaders in applications requiring autonomous solutions. This will enable worldwide customers to experience the convenience and intelligence introduced by the latest technology of autonomous driving.
It is worth noting that UISEE is a leading autonomous driving company based in China and was founded in 2016.
