Twitter is reportedly releasing new updates for its iOS app to stop Tweets from disappearing, especially while users are reading them. The update comes as the microblogging site upgraded its online platform to avoid timelines to refresh with new tweets.
Twitter revealed that the tweets would previously disappear from the feed while the users were reading them with automatic timeline refresh. Now when users pause their timeline and scroll to view a Tweet, it should stay the same.
Back in September, Twitter had announced updates that would prevent disappearing Tweets. The company is now working on making changes to this disappearance issue on Android as well, but it did not reveal the release date.
Meanwhile, Twitter recently announced that it will no longer crop image previews automatically on the web after introducing full-size image previews on mobile. On the web version, images will now be fully displayed without any need for cropping.
The company first tested the update in March with a small set of Android and iOS users. It is worth mentioning here that these updates arrive as Twitter focuses on improving its platform as well as increasing the accessibility of its services.
Twitter had also introduced a feature where users can share direct links to in Spaces to let others join the live audio session through the web without logging in to the platform. The company has stated that the new feature is predominately for Space users having friends who do not use Twitter but would like to listen to live audio conversations.
Twitter has also rolled out an in-app tipping service to all Android users above the age of 18.
