Vestas launches its EnVentus platform in Germany's wind energy market

Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a renowned wind turbine company, has recently received an 11-Megawatt order from Notus energy Plan GmbH & Co. KG that plans, develops and operates renewable energy projects.According to reports, the order includes two V150 - 5.6-megawatt wind turbines as well as a service contract of 25 years for the Beesenberg II wind farm in Eastern Germany.
Reportedly, the wind turbines will be integrated into the already installed wind power plant Lübbenow and Beesenberg, where the first German V150-4.2-megawatt wind turbines, that were ordered in 2018, are presently under construction. The project will feature the first V150-5.6 MW turbines worldwide and apparently would be the first order for the EnVentus platform in Germany.
Heiner Roger, Chief Executive Officer, Notus energy Plan GmbH & Co. KG, was reported to state that, as longstanding project developer and partner of Vestas, the company believes in the versatile & highly efficient energy solutions of Vestas.
Roger added that, in the evolution of wind turbines, EnVentus platform represents the next generation of wind turbines and the company is looking forward to developing its first EnVentus wind energy project in Germany.
As per sources close to the matter, the EnVentus turbines ensure a stronger business case for customers and will come with a 25-year certified lifetime that will allow the turbines to operate without new technical qualification after the present standard of twenty years.
Moreover, by utilizing the firm's LDST tower technology to go up to 166-meter hub heights, the V150-5.6 megawatt turbines will reach more consistent and stronger wind speeds, which will result in escalation of annual energy production and lower levelized cost of energy.
According to sources, the order covers supply, installation & commissioning of the turbines, a 25-year Active Output Management service agreement as well as a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution. In addition, the delivery and commissioning of wind turbines is planned to begin in Q4 of 2020.
